HYDE PARK, OHIO
Hyde Park is a beautiful neighborhood just 5 minutes east of downtown Cincinnati. Turn-of-the-century homes are surrounded by green spaces, parks, shops and restaurants.

Hyde Park residents enjoy the same abience as its founders did nearly 100 years earlier. It was established in 1892 by several prominent Cincinnati businessmen who wanted to create a community exclusively for Cincinnati's wealthy. The neighborhood is named after New York's fashionable Hyde Park area, which the men wanted to duplicate. The men bought up all the land in the area, and then shaped their community by building beautiful homes and lushly landscaped parks and green areas.

The heart of Hyde Park is Hyde Park Square, which loosely encompasses a 2-block area of Erie Ave primarily bounded by Edwards Rd on the West and Michigan Ave on the East. In the center of Hyde Park Square sits the historic Kilgore Fountain which is surrounded by grass and landscaped areas. Hyde Park Square features activities for residents and visitors such as the Hyde Park Arts Show, Farmers Market, and the annual lighting of the Hyde Park Christmas tree (a 100 foot evergreen that heralds the holidays). There are over 100 businesses including specialty shops and boutiques, restaurants, art galleries, coffee shops, banks, salons and all fashion of independent merchants surrounding the Square.

Hyde Park is said to be one of the most desirable, prestigious and safe neighborhoods to live in in the city. You will find Hyde Park housing stock ranging from multi-million-dollar river-view estates to mid-range family homes to starter homes as well as a wide variety of home and apartment rental opportunities. Hyde Park also offers fantastic condominium living opportunities including the new LEED certified contemporary condominium residences 1 block east of Hyde Park Square dubbed 2801 Erie as well as others including, but not limited to The Regency, The Madison House and many others. Even now when the news about housing values isn't always comforting, Hyde Park enjoys notable housing quality, value stability and location, location, location!

Hyde Park is also home to some of Cincinnati's finest and academically successful public and private schools in the region including The Summit Country Day School, St. Mary School, Kilgour School (a Cincinnati Public School with a rating of "Academic Excellent with Distinction") and others. While Singles, DINKS and Empty-Nesters alike all enjoy the Hyde Park neighborhood lifestyle, these and other schools in our community make family living here all the more worthwhile.
